I'm compiling a CD of apps that our company uses, and I wanted to put in a little HTML file that contains links to the install files of each app. However, when clicked, I get the same old option of "Save to disk" or "Run from this location". Is there a way to actually run a program on a CD from a hyperlink? My HTML is a little rusty, and my Javascript even moreso. Any ideas?

TIA,

Jas

If it's running off a CD and not an Intranet, why not use VB to create a simple form with a couple of buttons that launch the apps.

I suppose I could do that. I was hoping to get away with just an HTML file, but if it takes more, then it takes more. Thanks for the suggestion dwarf.

I imagine it may be possible using VBScript in a HTML file, but you'll get about three warnings about 'unsafe' activex objects from the browser.
