Hi,
I've been asked to setup our vpn to run applications thru. I'm not sure if this is possible, can anyone advise? I know we can run the application locally then save the file on our server via VPN, but it doesn't seem like it'll handle running apps. thru.
thanks!
Patrick

It depends on the software and speed etc from point to point. We can run apps over our VPN, but they are very slow and painful to use. Server admin, remote backups and email is primarily what ours is used for.

Terminal services might be a good option for you here. that wat the app actually runs on a box on the LAN and screen updates are the only thing passing throught the WAN. 128K+ would be enough bandwidth.

Good luck.
