I am a relative beginner to using Apache and have a weird question. I created a website on a desktop running apache and can view it just fine. Is it possible to create another website that is totally different from the computer and use the same Apache server to post it to users.

I had created a index page for the first web site with this url: and now want to also create a second web page with this url: Is this possible? How would I do this?

Hi mate,

It is not possible the way that you want to do it, unless you told people to use the actual filename to reach the site.

A better way is to set-up virtualhosts, they are easy enough to set-up and if you really want to keep the actual filenames that you posted above then you can simply add the filename in a DirectoryIndex directive within each virtualhost configuration.

To find out about virtual hosts, consult the FAQ area of this forum.

Hope this helps Wullie
