I'm looking for info about running Apache on a Win2k Server.
How many of you are doing this?
Are there any problems?
Where do I get Apache for win2k?

I have been to the apache.org site and can't find much info there. Are there other sites I can check?

Hi mate,

How many of you are doing this?

There are loads of sites using Apache on windows..

Are there any problems?

Well, it is MS Windows.. [wink]

If you want step by step instructions on installing Apache on Windows then check out my post in the following thread..

thread65-249446

This relates to apache 1.3.24 so if you download version 2 then the install will be different..

After you get that set up, if you post again I can help you with mail servers etc, I know of a few excellent ones..

BTW. Glad to see you decided to take my advice!! [wink]

Hope this helps Wullie

Been meaning to look into it just haven't had the time. Work's kinda slow now so what the hey.

Say, how do you link threads and forums within a post?

Apache 2. is supposed to be faster in Win2k (According to Znet) think I'll try it. MSB [peace]

Hi mate,

Look at the top of this thread where is says "Running Apache on a Win2k Server" and just below that is a thread number, just copy that into the post..

Good luck with the install, if you have any problems, just ask..

Hope this helps Wullie
