Running Anitvirus Freezes Other Applications

Hi

When I scan my PC using Anti Virus 2003, the virus runs perfectly well, but if I try to use other applications, such as IE, Dreamweaver they either run so slowly I cannot use them or they freeze or close.

Is there a way around this

Maybe, but that's the way Norton is. You really don't want to run any programs while any antivirus software is performing a scan. This way, the scanner has exclusive access to your filesystem, and every file is checked for cleanly. You might also disable system restore if you are running XP, while you do the scan.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
