I have one computer running win 95 and one computer running red hat linux 6.0 I have all the networking cable's and hubs... I have my windows machine connected to the internet on dsl, I know how to connect a second windows machine to a home network and access the internet , but i was wondering if anyone could point me to some information concerning connecting a linux computer to the internet through a Windows machine on dsl?

It would probably work better if you could set it up the other way, but have you tried setting your linux box to use the windows box as a default gateway? Check "man route" for details.

I connected a linux box though a win98 box (win98 running a program called hhproxy, also a isdn line.) Linux would not at first see the internet also netscape would not work until i put the host (the server (win98) called allandale) in the hosts file of the linux box.<br>

Hope this helps!!!
