Hi All,

My problem is that I need to schedule a report once the user passes some parameters from a ASP.NET front end. My company is using Crystal Reports 8.5. I was thinking that I will gather the parameters and somehow use windows scheduler to accomplish this task. Has someone done this? If so did you run crystal reports on a command prompt?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can develop your own application to do this (using the Crystal runtime components).

Alternatively, have a look at the list of 3rd-party report managers listed at:
Look for those that accept command line arguments.
Also, if you need to trigger the processing from asp.net, look for functionality that includes communicating back at the end of processing (success, failure, failure reason), so that your asp.net application knows what's going on.
My "Visual CUT" software is one such choice.

Cheers,

CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.
