Ok, heres a question for you!

I'm going to create a movie clip that will change from day to night. This bit is simple enough, what I'd like to know is how do I script it to run on a timer? I want to be able to have it change say every 5mins or so but, what I'd really like to do, is have the mc know when it is 0:00 midnight and also to know when it is 12:00 midday. My main goal is to set up the mc so it can go through sunrise and sunset so every hour, it plays (a tween), then stops at the next "stop" keyframe. roda B-)

use arrays..set up a different mc for each tween that you want to take place..using arrays you can determine what time it is and play the appropriate mc for that time..tulsa jeff used one on a clock that he made..i remember from a previous thread..and from my understanding it is quite simple..

I created a flash movie of this sort a while back. I was just playing around really but if you like I can send it to you.

Basically I have it set up as an array of 24 alpha settings from 0% to 100% depending on what hour of the day or night it is. The background is white with a blue overlay graphic. The alpha setting affects the blue graphic.

TulsaJeff, if you send it I will build it!

That sounds like just what I want. I have no idea about "array's", more a graphics person trying to understand this ActionScript.

Cheers man!! roda B-)
