I am running SCO ODT 3.2 v4.2 on a PC configured with an e3E adapter.
Sometimes I use the PC for service out in the field. At those occasions I connect to another system using SLIP. In the field, no network is available.
If I boot with network cable connected everything works OK, both e3E and SLIP works fine.
But if I boot without network connected I get the message:
slink: Function "cenetb", command 1: open "/dev/e3E0: no such device or address
Cannot automatically determine transceiver
Now, if I try to run SLIP, it does not work. If I run netstat no information is displayed.
IS THERE A WAY TO DISABLE (NOT UNINSTALL) E3E SO I CAN RUN SLIP EVEN WITH NO NETWORK CONNECTED??
