Running a fax machine on ISDN line

Can anybody tell me (before i waste my money) is it possible to run a standard fax machine on an ISDN line.

Hi Daren I assume you mean a Basic Rate ISDN i.e. 2 channels. Its easy to connect a standard fax to an BRI ISDN but you'll need an external ISDN terminal adapter eg Hayes Accura Serial ISDN Terminal Adapter which provides two analogue telephone ports. Also you'll need to tell your provider to allocate you 2 telephone line numbers to your ISDN, one for the fax one for another device.
