I got a old basic .bas file that I like to run through dos. I found a program that would printout the *.bas file but wont run it. Any Ideas.

You need the applet QBasic from MS-DOS. It may be on your Windows install CD but can't tell where without knowing precisely what Operating System you are running.

Berton has it...

QBASIC shipped with DOS, err 2.0? through 6.22, there is an EXE and a HELP, and should be on any old DOS install diskettess, or Ebay for one.

QBASIC /? will give you a help.

QBASIC /RUN filename

will do it for you

I'll guess some of the free BASICs on the web may do as well.

LibertyBasic.com is one.

Thanks "jnicks". Its not likely I be using this alot. As from what I remember when I first used this, like 25 years ago, I was using punch cards for this program. Thanks Again

Didnt work. Got an error saying "no shell to basic". I looked it up and found nothing that worked.

send me the source?

I think I know what it is.
