Want to run 3900 sets with an Option 11 cabinet in the lab here. Has anyone set this up and if so what MGC is required?

Today is your lucky day Hawks! I'm with the eMetro CEO and I actually have a CS1K cabinet and a UCX50 all connected and working with every concievable nortel set you can imagine.

The MGC card in the cabinet is an NTDW60BBE5 Release 3.0 and the DLC is an NT8DC2EA Release 5

thanks telcodog, do you mean NT8D02? Also does the Gateway card just replace the SSC in the NTAK11 cabinet?

Thats awesome! There are millions of M3900 and M2000 sets out there that people are dumping for Cisco, this would be so amazing to sell to those people......I can't wait to use a M2616 alongside and T7316, unheard of in even the Nortel world. :)

Yes Hawks, typing mistake on my part. This will work with any vintage of DLC card or MGC card for that matter. All you have to do is remove the processor card and the UCx controls everything and can handle 30 superloops. I saw it all being set up and work and it is awesome! It does require release 4.0 UCx which has not been released but will be by the end of the year.

These guys at eMetro are awesome! They did share with us some of the things that will be released in the new year and we were all very impressed. I'm sorry that I can't speak of them in this forum but stay tuned to their website and news releases........I think you'll be impressed too.

Thanks, I knew about the release 4 just wasn't sure if the SSC was still needed or not.
Thanks again.
