Hello,
We are attempting to open and then proceed to run a particular web page within a web site all within a DTS application created on an NT server. We would like examples and/or ideas. My partner can set the DTS up on the server,(I cannot as of yet being mostly a mainframer) but has never opened up or run a particular web page. This web page once executed will import a newly created .csv file to be loaded to SQL tables.
Thanks in advance !!

Why do you uwant to run a web page?

SQL server can load csv (or other formaat text) files without dts.
If it's for the import then where do you get the files from?
If it is ftp then again you can do this in t-sql.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.

We are running a web page as part of a package provided by an outside vendor to whom we are tranferring data via their "import" function found on one of their web pages. This is part of an overall system we have bought into for a specific purpose. The file, a ".csv" type, has been created and imported to the server already. That is not an issue with us The web page will then take the file and process it. That much is static and is not optional. The only thing we do not understand is how to open a specific password protected, (2 levels of userids and passwords), website and go to a specific page inside and activate a particular link, which will process the file. This is all going to happen inside a DTS package, which is what we are attempting to script. This, once tested and perfected, will be a production job using triggers to run the DTS.
