Run time error

Hi friends,
I have a very weird problem. I am using 9i forms at home and every time whenever I compile the form and try to run it, it gives me error: “FRM-30087: Unable to create form file C:\forms\test.fmx.” But as I save it with new name, for first time it runs perfectly but next time when I make any changes and compile it and then try to run it, it gives me the above error. Can anyone tell me why??? And what is the solution.

Check whether you have a copy of this form already launched. Forms runtime locks the file containing running form to keep application consistency. Just exit from this old form.

is this the feature in 9i or it was also in previous version of forms.

Its certainly apparent in Forms 6i.

I've got an answer if the version you're using is 9i (or above): All you have to do is simply close the running browser window that is currently displaying your form.

Changing the naming is also a correct way of doing it, but you'll continually find errors each time with each new name.

Bottom line: Close the running window, and then compile your form. You shouldn't have any trouble at all.
