Run time error

When I try to open the control center (V9) i get the following error
'A java runtime (JRE).... java virtual machine was not found after searching the following location ....\bin\jre\bin\fjawaw.exe.

I reinstalled the pervasive software and it doesn't install this java piece.

Any helpor clues ?

Download and install the JRE from:

http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp

Did the V9 install ask if you wanted to install the JRE?

It didn't ask me, at least I didnt remember. I remember that it used to work at one point. But I cannot explain the change.
