Hi

I've packaged my application and it is now being tested on a standard build where I work.

However, the application displays the login box, but when you try to log in, the following error appears:

Run-time error '429'
You do not have an appropriate license to use this functionality

Obviously, this does not occur on my box, nor does it occur on any box which I've loaded myself. The only difference is that the testing department do not overwrite any files in WINNT\...

Has anyone encountered this message before or knows how to resolve it?

Thanks in advance,

Chaz

I've not used any controls that need licencing - well, I don't think so. Things that come with VB (MSCOMCTL, MSCOMCTL2, MSADO, MSCOMDLG, etc), 1 freeware control for directory browsing, and everything else I've written.

I'm baffled and could probably do with someone explaining the whole licencing thing to me.

No, no datagrids. I do use the data reports (hmmm, I wonder) but generally nothing that would cause this error. I'm getting a box built at the moment with the erroneous spec, so hopefully I'll find the problem and resolve it - I'll put the solution here if I can.

I did back up all of the License keys in my registry and copied them to the box which failed, but even that did not resolve it.
