This was an old favourite of mine

I meant one of two things
As admin you have owner access permissions on your queries
As a user this may not be the case so some tables that were upadateable before thru queries aren't available

Or

For the particular table/s you are using Permissions have been incorrectly set.

If you set your queries to run with owner access permissions you wont have the problem of having to define expicitly what with which queries.

By going thru Tools
Options

in the database window and selecting the query tab you can set the poperty for all queries to Owner

I can't rememeber if it works on existing queries or only for newly created ones.

if you just want to check with a particular query
Property to ammend is Run Permissions in the query and
change from default user to owners

Hope this is of some use

regards
