Most probably your ODBC setup is wrong. Go to the ODBS Icon in the config panel and change the settings. I also recommend using the odbc that comes with the oracle client CD. Too bad I.T. is not cash business
if you weant to valide your sqlnert or net8 setup you can use tnsping or tnsping80 or even sqlplus from the client to try to connect to your database.
If tnsping answers then your problem is your odbc, else it is your net setup. Too bad I.T. is not cash business
