Hi,

I am new to solaris and have actually built a box at home because the one at school crashed and I can't do any of my labs. :) I have the box setup and I have SSH running but I want to install VNC so that my classmates can practice CDE (we all prefer command line but we are tested on CDE). I have two main questions:

1.) Where can I sepcify the run level of CDE? I don't want the computer to boot in CDE. It just wastes resources. I know I need to change the boot level to 3 I think but I am a little confused as to where to do that.

2.) In Linux there is a place where you can specify the run level of everything. Is there a similar place in Solaris? In linux the command is "chkconfig --list" is there either a similar command or file that would accomplish the same result.

Thanks,
Dimo
