Run Inventory from a Pre Command

Hello, i am running back exec 11d and i am not at the building were the server is. i have one person that changes tapes daily for me (and i can't expect him to get that right everytime anyways). I have a stand alone dlt tape drive and i would like an inventory to run before the backup does? Can this be done? like i said i can't trust the person who is changing the tapes to get it right let alone have him run an invetory when he puts a new tape in? any suggestions?

Why not just schedule it? Right click on the drive and select inventory and there shoudl be a schedule setting. Schedule it for let say 10 min before the backup runs.
