Other than using a autoexec macro, or a startup form,
can a function be called when the Database opens.

common solution to this problem: create a form with no controls, make it open hidden and execute the events in the onopen of that form

I think you can call your function from your autoexec macros.
For example yoou have
function main () as int
main = 0
end function
you can choose runCode in your macros and write here main() John Fill
