run exe

I am trying to run this command:
<a href =&quot;file///c¦temp/anl.exe&quot;> however a save dialog box is being opened.Is there anything i can include in my text. Regards and thanks

Not to make it run automatically, that is a no-no. If this was possible than every time you hit a nasty set of pop-ups they would start executing random applications on your machine or start trying to open ports or odd install bakdoors or such, that would be bad. The best you can do is tell the user to hit the open option when the box comes up.
