Recently I have upgraded many of my diskless 486 machines running Dos 6.2 w/ 8megs ram to Celeron 500 w/64megs running Win98se. I have a large Paradox 4.5 application running on a Novell 3.12 server, with Novell Client 3.1, that runs 24/6.
Almost from the start of this upgrade I have been getting very intermittent “Run Error: Low memory warnings”. I have tried changing settings in the PIF file, making changes to the “-extk” parameter, changing operating systems (Win95, Win98, Win NT, 2000), using memory management programs to no end.
Requirements dictate that I run in a multi-tasking environment, having at least two programs running at once. This requirement excludes the possibility of running in Dos mode.
Has anybody else seen this error? And are there any possible solutions?
Thanks
Bill
