QBasic doesn't make an EXE.
You need to get QuickBasic or another compatible compiler.
I don't think any DOS Basic compiler is available from MS any more, which means (a.) give up on the idea, (b.) find an old copy in your local computer store, or (c.) buy it off somebody who is done with it.
There ARE still alternative DOS Basic compilers available from 3rd parties though, but even those guys are starting to drop their DOS products, drop the pricing radically to clear their inventory, or in many cases making their DOS compilers available as part of their Windows compiler package.
