A particular program (FOX 2.6) where data transfer is taking place using the RUN PKZIP FILENAME *.* generates a phar lap error. Is there a solution and/or a reason for this problem ?
I believe that PharLap was a Memory Manager addon that was used to manage "external" programs, and it used Extended memory. I've found that WinNT/2000 in particular have some problems the "old" extended memory model. You may want to try to create a .BAT file with the PKZIP statement in it, and try running this BAT file instead.
just add the parameter "-3" to the pkzip parameters
(its disable the 32 bit instruction usage (see pkzip help screen, by type "pkzip" without any parameter and then type - "4".
eliezer - programer.
