run bat file

new to jsp, need to open jasperedit from jsp. I have a bat file that will do it. Does anyone know an easy way to run a bat file jsp. jasperedit doesn't have an exe, I use ant (ant run) to open jasperedit.

This line will shell out to the OS and execute anything that you could execute from the native os (ie ant, a bat file, an exe etc).

Process p = Runtime.getRuntime().exec("C:\somewhere\mybatfile.bat");
