We have a small company intranet using Sitespinner2. I would like to run an access database from one of the Web pages. On clicking the Database Hyperlink get message saying do you wish to open then a pause and another message asking if I want to save the file but will not run it. The Intranet is in a domain. Running Access 2003 Windows XP Pro on the Workstations fully up to date with service packs. Server is Windows 2000 where the Web folder resides service packs up to date. Anti Virus is F-Secure Corporate running from an Anti Virus Server. Help please

Make sure the hyperlink to your database is something like

file://\\servername\etc\db1.mdb

If you get this right, when people click on the link, Access will pop up with this databse.

Do not use http:// to link to the database file as this will attempt to "download" a copy of the file to your computer.

If you're thinking of directly editing data inside a web browser, then that's not possible to do in any two-sentence answer.
