hi, i 'd like to write a simple shell script to run a program from windows, but i don't know if it's possible.
Can someone tell me if it is and how I can do that?
When I a log on to the Unix server by ftp, I can't run any program. There must be another solution.

Thanks

I can try batch script (.bat).Sorry, you should use telnet to run shell script from unix machine.
Good Luck ....:)

I would use ssh to access the Unix server. Once logged in, you can do just about anything that you could locally. If you need to run a GUI program, the it's a bit more complicated.

You can't execute programs from within an ftp session, you need shell access.
