Rules and Alerts

Does anybody know if there is limit on how many Rules and Alerts you can have applied? Also If you have your email going to a .PST file, are the rules stored on the exchange server or in the .PST....This is with Office 03. The reason why i ask is because i keep getting an error

"One or more rules could not be updated to the exchange server and have been deactivated. This could be because some of the parameters are not supported and of there is insufficient space to store all of your rules."

Any help would be appreiciated

Have you tried
Outlook /CleanRules or
Outlook /CleanServerRules or
Outlook /CleanClientRules?

Well, I could delete them with no problems. I was just wondering if there was a limit on how many you could have.
