Hi,

I'm having the following setup: 7 MxeIII's in a cluster, all version 6.0 SP3.

In the system options, the number of hops is 10.

4 of them are expanded ones, with trunks (sip, tdm e1 and qsig) connected, so they have except the e2t also one or more dual e1/t1 interfaces. Let's call these controllers Mxe1, Mxe2, Mxe3 and Mxe4.
3 are used for remote locations (just the other site of the street), to have analog lines available there basically.
We call these Mxe5, Mxe6 and Mxe7.

We also have a vMAS connected to Mxe1, with 5020 IP phones.

And now the problem: when a call arrives on Mxe1 for extension xxxx on mxe1 to 4 and xxxx is forwarded to voicemail, it works fine. The call comes into Nupoint (vccs trace on Nupoint console) and we get speech.

When we call extension yyyy, which is a remote destination on Mxe1 and actually is an anolog phone on a ASUII on Mxe5, and yyyy is forwarded towards an extension on Mxe1 or the Nupoint voicemail, the call does not pass. The Ip phone where the forward is done to does not ring, a vccs on the Nupoint shows nothing at all. The call is coming in on a E1/Qsig on Mxe1. If I do the same test with an Ip phone (connected to Mxe1) the forward works fine.

What is wrong here? How does the RTP go in the faulty case?

Thanks a lot!

Make a call that is not working and take a CCS trace. "CCS Trace Enabled Continuously" This should/will show what is happening.
