RTMT setup to send Email alert 1

I am trying to set up RTMT to send Emails. I go to System> Tools> Alert> Config email server and put in the IP address of the server but the Help files all say there should be another Tab or option on that page to put in recipients but I don't see that option. UCM 7.1.3b.

Anybody have this set up???
 
I know I had that working in the 4.X version of cucm when it was still windows but haven't set it up with 7. It was where you described it then. Let me take a look at a version running 7 and will get back to you.
 
Ok I just tested it and this is where you set it:
system->tools->alert->config alert action->add
Once you add a name and a description click on the add radio button and a new window will open. Add the email address and click ok.
I also made sure i got an email after triggering an alarm.
what part does not work for you?

btw my exact version is 7.1.3.21900-4

Let me know.
 
oh yeah and make sure you enable the email address after you enter it.
 
Thanks whykap. I'll try it tomorrow. I couldn't figure out where to put the email recipient. It isn't where the docs say it is.
 
OK Got it!!. You have to have DNS set up on the server and to do the Add, you first have to have the Alert Central page up or the Config Alert Action selection is 'grey-ed' out. But I got it working. Thanks. Star for you!!
 
I just noticed that after you mentioned it. Once you drop off the alert page it gets greyd out. What a weird thing to do. Glad you got it working.
