Hello everybody,

I downloaded & installed Realtek's driver for the RTL8139C NIC - everything went fine so far. I then customized the files /etc/hosts, /etc/hostname.rtls0 and so on according to our local network settings.
But: At bootup I get an error message saying that there is no device rtls0 - but in fact there exists an entry called rtls0 in my /dev directory. I believe I exactly followed the steps from the driver's readme. Any suggestions?

Hope anybody can help me out,

Thanks a lot in advance...Ulf

if /dev/rtls0 exists you can try:

Code:
ifconfig rtls0 plumb
ifconfig rtls0 <ipaddress> netmask <netmask> up

and if that works then it will just be some problem with how the scripts are running.
