RTF files made by MS WORD? 1

Running Corel WP 9.0

Won't read an RTF created by Word2003.

While trying to open the file, WP says something like RTF file format not supported.

Why not? Is it because it was made in MS WOrd?

Or is the WP 9.0 program I'm running not complete with file converters?

I get the same result with Word 2003 and WP9. If I create a *.rtf fle in Wordpad, WordPerfect can open it. So I think that it is a Word 2003 issue rather than WP 9 file converters.

Try a google newsgroup search on corel.wordperfect_older_versions and if that does not yield an answer go to corels website, sign up for this newsgroup and post the question for that group. They are very knowledgeable and helpful.
