RTF as template need help

Hi

I am trying to generate 500 different reports (wording frequently
change) .

So i thought of using RTF template ( these 500 templates will be mange
by end user)
I will just link that with datawindow, populate data and generate
report.

Is this good soln? can i manipulate RTF at datawindow

Can any one give idea/sample code

(i thought of this becs it will give control to end user to change data from word)

ANy other soln is wellcome
