Using C6.1 I have an RTF template in a Legacy program thats shows all the normal options in the Charset drop list.

On the same computer I have another RTF template in a ABC program but the Charset drop list is initially blank and 'Western' is the only option that appears in the Charset drop list.

Question: Can anyone explain how I can get all the Charset options to appear in the ABC RTF Charset drop list?

Many thanks.

Hi!

I have no idea but I guess would be that the Legacy is using the old deprecated RTF control whereas the ABC one is using the new RTF control. I always liked the older one as it had more options and was easier to use. Go though the *RTF*.inc/clw in your LIBSRC folder for more ideas. I would assume that the Charset would be related to the Font chosen.

Hi!

Load the project - RTFDemo.prj from the \Clarion6\examples\RichEdit folder and compile. In that, the Charset varies as different fonts are chosen. Maybe it will be of some help to you.

Thank you ShankarJ.

It appears I was concerned about nothing, you are right it is font dependent, for example...

MS Sans Serif = 'Western' only.
Arial = Drop list of 9 choices.

I though I had exhausted all avenues but instead I overlooked the obvious.

Cheers,
