I have a report with 12 months history for each product that I sell. In one of the columns, I would like to know the value of the inventory that I currenly have on hand. That would be contained in my last detail line. If I put in a formula to calculate the inventory into the first group footer(GF4) I get the correct value. But if I put a running total based on my formula, it's making the calculation based on the first detail line, not the last.
I'm using CR10 on an SQL database.
This is kind of what the report looks like.

Detail Values to calculate inventory are here.
GF4 This is where I have the calc. that shows the correct value but the running total shows the calc based on the first detail line.
GF3 I also need the running total display in each of the following footers.

GF1

Instead of using "on change of field" in the evaluation section of the running total, try using "evaluate based on a formula" and enter:

{table.group4field} <> next({table.group4field})

This should force the evaluation on the last detail rather than the first.

You will need to add separate running totals if you want to evaluate them at each group level, where you change the reset to the group level you want to evaluate for.
