Hey all. I am running a primary and secondary RHEL Server release 6.1 (Santiago). They both have rsync running on them (I was not involved in the original set-up so bare with me if I am leaving out important information that I am ignorant to). I've been noticing this trend that my sync report emails come in and say this:

Rsync : 03/07/16 06:10:02 03/07/16 08:03:01 SUCCESSFUL
Rsync : 03/07/16 10:10:01 Rsync : 03/07/16 14:10:03 03/07/16 16:59:00 SUCCESSFUL
Rsync : 03/07/16 18:10:01 03/07/16 18:47:42 SUCCESSFUL
Rsync : 03/07/16 22:10:01

Seems to be gaps in which the syncs aren't finishing successfully, and then new ones kick off and do finish. I logged into both of the servers and checked the sync logs, and they are showing the same thing. In particular what I am seeing right now that troubles me is this:

Primary server:
Rsync : 03/07/16 22:10:01 03/07/16 22:27:40 SUCCESSFUL
Rsync : 03/08/16 06:10:01 03/08/16 07:09:54 SUCCESSFUL

Secondary server:
Rsync : 03/07/16 22:10:01 03/07/16 22:27:40 SUCCESSFUL
Rsync : 03/08/16 06:10:01

The one that kicked off at 6:10 finished successfully on the primary server but didn't finish on the secondary at all (it is now 10:42 and I have never seen this process take more than 3 hours on the secondary). Any thoughts?

You can use rsync -r. Some filename contained strange characters. It can cause rsync failed.
