I'm new to working with the BCM and it's associated software. We've run out of disk space on our RSS computer; in the MYSQL 4\data directory there are a large number of files which are squentially numbered with the computer name preceding the number. i.e.

DEL-RSS-bin.000010

I opened one up and it didn't appear as a text file persay. I was wondering the following:

1) What is the purpose of these files?
2) Can I blow away the older ones or do they hold actual data?
3) Can I extract the data for archiving if they do contain data.

Thank you.

The Bcm itself keeps about the last 250,000 calls of the call center.
Sometimes easier to redo a clean install.Make sure to have the latest RCC software that includes a purge utility.
As well you can stop the "auto-backup type of" that sql is doing by default.
Do a "rcc" search in the threads anyou should find it.
