RSS Java Applet

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to create an RSS Parser as a Java Applet? I know how to do it in PHP or ASPX, and I can find applets that create ticker-style feeds, but I would like to implement a Java Applet version for a class I am in. I need it to parse the RSS feed into a format which can then be styled by my CSS sheet. The problem is, I can't seem to find any reference on where to begin. I suppose it may not even be possible.

What did you exactly look for? A google search on rss applet shows a lot of results like this
