I was not there when this happened but was told the w2k advanced server had a message on the desktop saying some files were no longer recognised by windows, after a reboot the server wouldnt come back up as the kernel was missing, after running repair from the cd most things seem ok but the rsm gives an error when clicking on removable storage it says no interfaces are registered, device manager shows the tape drive and scsi interface as ok, technet has one recomendation which is to run dcomcfg and change from anonymous to identify, I tried this but had a notification that some entries were not in the registery i put these in but have not yet had chance to reboot the server, anyone have any other ideas
