Vlans created on subinterfaces of the gigE interface connected to the backplane of the Catalyst 4006. This is via etherport channels...Each vlan created on the rsm (catalyst 4232-L3)can ping within its own vlan, though not through to any of the other vlans. Switch is functioning and holding its vlan addressing per its port assignments.
Currently, the native vlan on the rsm is one of the vlans used...the main vlan of the office where the switch is addressed. Would the fact that the switch is not addressed in its own unused native vlan impact the vlans not being able to communicate, ie, the only vlan that pings back is the office vlan that the switch is currently in..
I just need some help getting the switch to communicate with the route switching module.
thanks in advance!
