Hi,
We suffered a crash on a AIX 5.1 system running HACMP 4.5. From the errlog there's a message of:
463A893D 0910112909 P O grpsvcs Internal logic error in Group Services d

After reboot we got a pair of messages
B1731DA3 0911092909 P S RMCdaemon Internal error.
A6DF45AA 0911092909 I O RMCdaemon The daemon is started.

The rsct daemons ctrmc and ctcas are not running. An attempt to start them using statrsrc results in errors as above.

The B1731DA3 error complains about not being able to open /var/ct/lc, unsurprising as it doesn't exist, but neither does it exist on other system where rsct is running happily.

I'd be grateful for any thoughts/help on this.

I usually don't manage the rsct daemons with startsrc but with rmcctrl.

First:
/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/rmcctrl -z (stops the rsct daemons)
/usr/sbin/rsct/install/bin/recfgct (recreates a key and recycles the daemons)

Then wait 5 minutes and look at the rsct daemons status, if they're not running:
/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/rmcctrl –A (starts the daemons)
/usr/sbin/rsct/bin/rmcctrl –p (enables communication)

I think I was wrong in my post above.
I didn't see at first it was HACMP rsct daemons, I thought they were HMC-LPAR communication daemons.

I think what I said above is wrong and won't help you.
