Is there a tutorial for borders? Click on a cell in a table and look at the properties. There is only a bottom style, and a default style and a default width. Yet a border displays all the way around the cell. What does the default do and what's the difference between that and specifying border information in the left, right, top, bottom?

I wish I could just right click and format the cell like normal programs. Thanks for any help you can give.

Expand the properties item. There is a seperate property for each border (left, right, top & bottom)

You can set the style, width and colour for each individual border. This overrides any default style that is applied to a row or column. For example, you can apply a set of border styles and colours to a table. you can then apply some formatting to the borders on a particular column. the formatting for all columns except the modified one will be from the table style. The modified column will show the formats you have chosen for that. if you then modify a cell in that column, that cell will again show the formats you have applied to it as opposed to the rest of the column which will show the column wide formats..

Rgds, Geoff

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
