We're using Outlook 2000 on Windows 98 laptops to access Exchange 2000. We're setting up a Windows 2000 RRAS server to access the Exchange server. Our biggest problem is when passwords expire.
We've enabled Profiles on the laptops so that users are prompted for their Windows password when the system boots. When the Exchange password expires (Microsoft Networking password)the users are prompted to change it and that usually works. The problem is that the Windows password doesn't change and that really messes our users up since they don't know the difference between the Windows & Microsoft Networking passwords. If the 2 passwords are kept the same everything is great, but once they are out of synch, the phone start ringing and we have to spend significant time helping people change one or both passwords.
Can anyone suggest a setup that will make passwords as simple as possible for users, yet retain the need to enter a password either when the system boots or when you start Outlook?
Thanks,
