RRAS Causing DNS Problems

I have a 2003 server that is also running RRAS. Occasionaly it sees itself using its own RRAS ip address and thinks that there is another computer on the network with the same name. However, we frequently get event messages complaining about a DNS packet having the same name as the server but with its RRAS ip instead of its primary IP.

Is there a way to disable DNS just on that RRAS IP and disable whatever windows uses that causes it to see itself on the network with the RRAS ip?
