I have a Domain Controller set up as a RRAS server for remote users to VPN in.

Ever since i did that when i ping the server by its name it gives me a different IP address then the one I have set. I am guessing that its giving me an IP address of from the RRAS service. Where should i start to look to remidy this problem.

I have tried ipconfig /flushdns to clear out my local dns cache but i am still getting the wrong ip address back from the ping request.

When i look in the DNS settings it does have a Host (A) record entry for the incorrect IP address. I have tried to delete it but it just keeps comming back.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
