Hi
I am moving our exisiting backup VPN connections both PPTP and L2TP to a Windows 2008 Std Server. Currently they are on a 03 Server and work fine behind a NAT Firewall. Moving to the new 2008 box I can connect internally whilst testing with PPTP and L2TP but externally I cannot. Im putting this down to NAT Traversal as I remeber the orignal headache of patches and FW Ports. Has anything changed in 08 ? I read KB926179 which is about this problem and implemented but no luck ! using XP or Vista Client.
I have had to switch back to the 03 box whilst I work it out but would like to get on 08 to implement SSTP as we are going to gradullay introduce VISTA
I have only RRAS installed no NAP etc
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.
Dave
