Do you display reports over the web using ASP? Did you start developing your code with the sample projects available on the Business Objects website? Have you started to dig deeper into the rptserver.asp to determine how an rpt makes its way to the web browser? I guess now rptserver.asp has been renamed to RDCrptserver11.asp.

In version 8.5, Crystal used to have a viewer that outputted Crystal Report files to HTML and even outputted to a framed based HTML. I have determined that htmstart.asp which is available in the aspxmps85.exe calls the rptserver.asp which would output the report group tree. htmstart.asp does not exist in the aspxmps11.exe. The HTML code to display the report group tree came from a method call from the PageGenerator object called RenderTotallerHTML. The code in the rptserver.asp from version 8.5 to version 11 has not changed much. In version 11, the RenderTotallerHTML is still called.

The question I have is when I call the method RenderTotallerHTML in version 11, no HTML is returned. I am wondering if this function is a deprecated function which is not documented in the developer help files?

To the one who understands my delima, thanks in advance for your insight.

I'm hanging on a thread hoping that someone has seen this problem otherwise I might have to finally implement my solution using the RAS.
