How can I force ownership of a *.rpt file to Crystal Reports?

When you installed Crystal Reports that file type should have been registered or associated with CR. You can change the association in windows explorer although it might be slightly different depending on which Windows you use. Try this:

Find an RPT in windows explorer, right click on it and select "Open With" and then choose "Another Program". When the list of eligible programs opens, check the "always use this program" at the bottom and then select your version of Crystal.

If this isn't similar in your Explorer, tell us what version of windows you have. Ken Hamady
