Hi all

I'd like to package an internal application in a rpm package.

For diffferent types of installation i'd like to configure certain install parameters during the installation.

Is it possible to have an interactive dialog during rpm -ivh mypackage.rpm or to have an external parameters file used by rpm install ?

rpm has been developed to be non interactive and easy to use.

A properly written source install script can do that.

Alternatively, if you options aren't too many, you could create different rpm with rpmbuild and the write a script that asks all necessary questions before executing a "rpm -i" statement with the correct rpm.

If I could have sex each time I reboot my server, I would definitely prefer Windoz over Linux!
